About Craig Sandberg

As the primary trial lawyer here at Sandberg Law, I am deeply committed to achieving the best possible outcome for my clients – and to practicing law with honour, integrity, civility and compassion.

After receiving my Doctor of Law (JD) from The University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly “The John Marshall Law School”) in 1998, I began my career in private practice, before moving on to work for several years as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Armed with this valuable experience, I returned to private practice in 2007.

I am proud to have “first-chaired” more than 40 complex civil cases through to jury and bench verdicts, and arbitrated more than 80 cases in various forums, including the American Arbitration Association and the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration programs. I have handled constitutional and appellate litigation in the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Illinois, and other courts throughout the country.

Those I’ve worked with describe me as friendly, personable and direct. I work hard to provide a calm, optimistic and reassuring presence amidst the chaos of what is often a vulnerable and stressful time for my clients.

In addition to practicing law, I’m an adjunct professor at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, teaching trial advocacy.  I have also instructed classes and programs through the John Marshall Law School, National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), Chicago Bar Association College of Trial Advocacy and the Federal Trial Bar Training Course.
